The Obamas, Queen Elizabeth II, and Prince Harry Just Had the Most Precious Twitter Battle
Welcome to modern politics.
Competition is alive and well — just ask Queen Elizabeth II.
President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle placed an ultra "contentious" call to Kensington Palace on Friday, eliciting the most lively response we've ever seen from the Queen.
The battle was held over Twitter (to the utter delight of everyone breathing air), meant to promote the upcoming Invictus Games, an event "using the power of rehabilitative #sports to inspire wounded, injured and sick service men and women on their journey to recovery." Needless to say, it's a great cause that has both U.S. and British leadership highly enthused. Beware, though, as the video below may have you cringing it's so cute.
It started with a tweet from the First Lady...
...continued with a few snarky tweets from Prince Harry...
...and ended with a "girl, please" from the Queen.
Though, in our hearts, it will never, ever end.
The Invictus Games begin May 8, running through May 12.
